Your privacy
Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Questr (“Questr,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use the Questr mobile application or visit the Questr website.
By using Questr, you acknowledge the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create a Questr account, we may collect information such as:
- Your email address
- Your username or display name
- Your internal Questr user ID
- Account-verification records
- Profile information you choose to provide
This information is used to create, verify, secure, and manage your account.
Game-library and user content
We collect information you choose to add to Questr, which may include:
- Games in your personal game library
- Game notes and house rules
- Game preferences
- Event names and descriptions
- Event dates and times
- Invitations and attendance information
- Friend connections and friend requests
- Messages and replies sent in event discussions
- Message timestamps, sender information, and associated event information
- Photos or files attached to event messages
- Other content you choose to submit
Messages sent through Questr may be stored and made visible to the users participating in the relevant event or conversation. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information through in-app messages.
Location and event-address information
With your permission, Questr may access your device’s current location to help show games or events near you and assist with entering an event location.
You may also choose to provide an address or location for a game-night event. Event locations may be visible to the users with whom you choose to share or organize the event.
You can deny or later disable location permission through your device settings. Certain nearby-game or location-based features may not function without that permission.
Calendar integration
When you choose to add a Questr event to your device calendar, Questr sends the event details you selected to your device’s calendar application. These details may include the event name, date, time, location, notes, and reminders.
Questr does not read, collect, or upload unrelated events already stored in your device calendar. Calendar integration is initiated only when you choose to add a Questr event to your calendar.
You can edit or remove the resulting calendar entry through your device’s calendar application.
Photos and uploaded files
If you choose to upload a profile picture, event image, message attachment, or other photo, Questr collects and stores the specific images you select. Questr does not access your entire photo library unless you grant the applicable device permission.
